Mission Statement

The establishment of Grove Street Velo will provide the Jersey City community with an outlet to take part in an organization with a commitment to all disciplines of cycling. Grove Street Velo intends to extend cycling beyond its roots as a leisure activity, instead we are providing this club as an opportunity for cyclists to organize and benefit the Jersey City community. Members of this organization will be expected to uphold cycling as an activity that is healthy and welcoming of all people. As an extension of this sentiment, members should be willing to promote bicycle racing (including junior u18), group rides, transportation alternatives, bicycling advocacy and child bicycle safety. Grove Street Velo promotes membership of all people, any person willing to promote the goals stated above will be accepted as a member regardless of experience. It is our mission to establish this organization as an arena for cyclists to benefit the sport and community as a whole.
